The Main Event! Atami Summit Day 4 (Final Day)
Final Presentations

The Atami Summit has finally reached its final day. This is the actual presentation where we put forth all the results we have accumulated through our fieldwork so far and yesterday's rehearsal!

Our group, "TERRA NOVA,"presented a proposal for the "My Atami" app, which aims to solve Atami's issues and deliver the best qualities of the city. Our presentation covered creating a system that makes first-time visitors want to come back, attracting the younger generation with events that utilize the ocean and scenery, and making Atami a model for tourist destinations nationwide. As a team, we were able to clearly convey our belief that Atami's real problem is not a lack of appeal, but rather that the city's inherent goodness is just not reaching current travelers.

We also received a lot of stimulation and inspiration from the presentations of other groups who walked the same city. We supposedly walked the exact same streets. And yet, I was surprised to see that they grasped the issues from a completely different perspective than ours and proposed unique solutions. Even for a single issue, there are various ways of thinking. I realized that this was precisely because this summit reflected the different religions, histories, and values of the participants who came from various countries.

Awards Ceremony / Closing Ceremony
After the presentations were finished, the awards ceremony and closing ceremony were held. During the announcement of the results, every group praised each other with applause, and I gained a sense of accomplishment having given it my all until the very end. Although I was nervous about communicating in English at first, I feel that I was able to form a truly great team with the members as we walked the city together, shared opinions, and shaped them into a single unified presentation. I want to utilize the experience of accomplishing something as a team and the connections I made with my peers over these four days in my future school life and studies.
